about me
This e-portfolio is an overview of my work in the Masters in Educational Technology & Media Leadership program. It will provide you with a synopsis of my best work completed during the program.
I have worked in an elementary school setting for over 9 years and I am constantly looking for ways to improve as a professional. As a graduate student in Educational Technology & Media Leadership, I have grown as a professional educator. I have completed numerous group projects, which increased my collaboration and communication skills. I have also become more technologically savvy, as you will see by the work I have compiled in this e-portfolio. |
My name is Marilin Equihua. I am the oldest of five children. My parents were born in Mexico, and came to the United States when they were in their teens. I was born in Torrance, California and grew up in Paramount, California.
I studied in the Paramount Unified School District from kindergarten until I graduated from Paramount High School in 2001. Upon graduation, I went on to obtain my Bachelor’s degree and teaching credential at California State University, Long Beach in 2007. One year later, I began teaching first grade at one of the Paramount schools that I attended as a student. I taught various elementary grade levels for the district for seven years before I became an English Language Arts Instructional coach. I have been in that position for the past three years. I began the Masters of Educational Technology & Media Leadership in 2015 and will be graduating Spring 2017. I look forward to applying what I have learned into my profession. |
